Be grateful for your emotions and let them go!

Emotions provide motivation, direction, and communication from our body, our higher self, and the divine. They are generated in our bodies by experiences from the present moment and information stored in our bodies and minds from past experiences. We can describe emotions as energetic vibrations. Although emotions are not visible, they are very real.

What happens when we experience an emotion? There are three things that occur in the process of an emotional state. The first is connected to the generation of the emotional vibration. The second is feeling the emotions and the thoughts or physical sensations that come along with it. The third thing happens when we choose to let the emotion go and move on after a few seconds to several minutes. The last step is called processing, and when it is completed, we can achieve success in moving on from the emotional experience, and it should not create any problems. If the process is not complete, the emotion becomes trapped in the body.

A single trapped negative emotion can be the cause of physical and emotional problems. The next question is, what is a trapped emotion? When we try to forget some emotionally difficult times, the impact of these events may stay with us in our bodies in the form of trapped emotions. According to Dr. Bradley Nelson (2019), the author of the book “The Emotion Code,” there is a way to find those old emotions and release them forever. Very often, negative emotional energies are trapped within us. Releasing those trapped emotions makes our lives healthier and happier and can manifest in the improvement of emotional and physical wellness.

On the other hand, we can also benefit from negative emotions. Even when they are uncomfortable or painful, they are a part of being human. Emotions give color to our lives and are responsible for feelings of happiness, bliss, charity, or kindness. Without emotions, we would not be able to feel love. Negative emotions cause feelings of sorrow, anger, grief, or depression, but without them, life would be “gray.”

You might not realize that some of the negative emotions you have experienced in the past can strongly impact your present life and cause problems for you now. That is why it is important to name them, describe them, and use them as a navigation tool for your present physical or mental state.

In my holistic sessions, I work with the body, energy, and mindset to help discover people’s emotional states. It is essential to listen to our bodies. Our bodies, which are our temples, give us many messages. Is it worth being aware of them.
